Our terroir : the Aspres

«  Aspres  » means poor, arid in Catalan. This territory is located south of the Pyrenees Orientales and spreads its vines on the
first foothills of Mount Canigou. Thuir, capital of Aspres, marks the entrance of this fabulous vineyard. Consisting of trays and
hills between 150 and 300 meters above sea level, our terroir allows the development of great wines thanks to the coolness of its nights and to its
exposure to the winds.

The landscapes

The landscapes are like no other. Under the benevolence of Mount Canigou, snowy a big part of the year, the
hills are adorned with vineyards, olive groves and scrubland. In the distance, reflections of the Mediterranean Sea sparkle
from the first rays of sun. This wild side, raw and preserved is the mark of Aspres.

Men's work

Since 1932, our winemakers work together
to preserve these vines and shape the
landscape. Solidarity, the common love of
earth, are essential to continue on these
terroirs. Yields are low,
harassing work but the character of their wines
are inimitable.
